Dr Kate Taylor

Kate has worked as a Clinical Psychologist since 2004 working with parents, infants, children and families experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety and depression, child developmental and behavioural problems, parent/child and family relationship difficulties and health-related difficulties.  She has a particular interest in assisting families through life challenges such as parenting, grief and loss and health-related difficulties, and facilitating individual growth and wellbeing.

Kate works collaboratively with her clients and uses a range of therapeutic approaches individualised to clients’ specific needs, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, systems and family therapies and attachment-based approaches.   She also has a particular interest in teaching and mentoring of psychologists, and has previously been the course convenor of the Doctor of Psychology (Clinical) at Monash University, and remains engaged in teaching and clinical supervision in this program. Kate is available to provide supervision for health professionals.

Cost:  $225 per 50-minute session *Medicare Rebate: $137.05
Out-of-pocket: $87.95 per session

*Medicare rebates are available to those who have a referral and Mental Health Care Plan from their GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician.  This must be in place prior to the first claimable session.
