Cass is a clinical psychologist who is dedicated to supporting clients during the perinatal period, from preconception through to the early parenting years and beyond. She particularly enjoys supporting new parents navigating the push and pull of identity reformation that can so often be a hallmark of this time. With a focus on building resilience and coping strategies, she creates a safe and supportive environment to help her clients thrive.
Cass takes a warm and compassionate approach when working with her clients. She uses a family systems lens and considers how each person exists within their relational networks. Cass uses several empirically supported approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as positive psychology and mindfulness interventions, depending on each individual’s needs.
Complementing her perinatal experience, Cass also has a unique set of skills in career development and workplace well-being, making her well-equipped to support clients navigating complex work-life balance challenges. Cass welcomes babies to sessions and provides both short and long-term therapy. Cass is a committee member of the APS Perinatal and Infant Psychology Interest Group and is committed to ongoing professional development in perinatal and infant psychology.
With a strong emphasis on promoting mental health and well-being, Cass assists her clients in navigating the perinatal period by supporting them through the changes, challenges, and opportunities that may arise during this discrete developmental phase. Cass’ compassionate and warm approach provides a confidential therapeutic space for clients to work collaboratively towards optimal mental health outcomes and meaningful changes that improve their lives and those of their families.
