Narelle has been a Psychologist in Queensland since 1995, and is Clinical Director of Lotus Health and Psychology a private multi-disciplinary practice with a focus on perinatal mental health and fertility counselling support.

Narelle provides support to families before, during and after pregnancy, including families who have experienced perinatal grief and loss. She recognises the specific needs of families faced with pregnancy decision making after diagnosis of foetal abnormality, and can provide support for those experiencing this unique grief. As a specialist infertility counsellor, she works with families struggling with infertility, including those who utilise donor conception and surrogacy. She is an accredited Neuro-Developmental Care (NDC) practitioner, and uses the NDC evidence base to support parents in the first 1000 days of their child’s life. Narelle is also accredited to provide Circle of Security Parenting programs, and loves sharing the “Stronger, Wiser, Bigger and Kind” model which can help any parent promote a secure attachment with their child.

Narelle is a 2015 Churchill Fellow Recipient, investigating the risks and implications of cross border surrogacy for Australians. She is sought after as a presenter at conferences and workshops across Australia and internationally, and is currently Adjunct Senior Lecturer at University of Queensland.

Narelle is currently a Director of the Fertility Society of Australia, and a member of the Queensland Board of the Psychology Board of Australia, and the Queensland Prostitution Licencing Board. In 2020 she accepted invitations to join the Executive Committee of the Australia and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association and the Advisory Group to the Healthy Male Plus Paternal Health Project.
